A 1st day interaction with the entrepreneurs in SFO

It’s our second day in San Francisco, a home for people from different walks of life. Today, we visited callspark.com,digg.com, had lunch with young Alison from Vark.com in a Thai restaurant, wondered around SFO and mate a lot of bright people at SFNewTech.

My time at callspark.com was really good. We were fortunate enough to meet their newly appointed CEO, Steve Larsen, who has so much experience in the entrepreneurship era. Callspark’s business, finding our contacts and businesses faster, is one of the brilliant ideas. It was interesting to hear and learn the operation, marketing and general strategies of a company that is at its very early stage. The conversation we had with Steve Larsen about the ‘life’ of the corporate world was very vital. One of the points that I grasped from the conversation is to always be persistent. The second point is to always build values for our ideas.

The conversation we had with Matt Van Horn, business development manager of digg.com was very fruitful. Just like Steve Larsen, Matt also repeated the concept of being persistent whenever we are looking for something. He also gave much emphasis on relationship and how we go about it. To use few lines, keeping in touch faster and creating a unique target for the companies and people we want to work for are some of the good advices I picked up.

My time at SFNEWTech was also very experiential as I was able to meet numerous businessmen who are involved in so many exciting businesses. There were many people with bright ideas and the way they presented their ideas to the large audience was very remarkable. It was a day full of thoughtful experience!
